JOB DESCRIPTION:

Do you have a track record of success in Sales
and enjoy managing your own territory?
We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven person
interested in an outside Sales career of personal development
and growth with the largest direct mail company in the country.
At MailCoups, a Valassis Company, we have an outstanding National
Advertising Sales opportunity available in our MailCoups Corporate
office in Taunton, MA. |
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
- Develop and execute strategic plan to increase
national sales revenue and margin by securing and growing existing
national account volume and acquiring new national account
business
- Identify national account lead sources and business categories;
develop and implement ongoing contact strategy to secure new
national business
- Establish relationships and ongoing contact with national
account brokers, including travel to broker offices
- Establish approved vendor status with national franchise
chains
- Secure additional print and insert business from franchise
chains
- Negotiate and resolve sales allowances and client concerns
- Monitor and evaluate competitor’s activities, clients,
products, and pricing
- Maintain an active role in direct marketing associations
- Attend trade shows appropriate to generate national sales
leads

REQUIRED SKILLS :
|
We seek a National Advertising Sales Consultant who has:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, use of
the internet, e-mail, and contact management software programs.
- Comprehensive selling skills including prospecting (telephone
cold calling, networking, trade shows), questioning and needs
analysis, value building, proposal writing, overcoming resistance,
and closing.
- 3 – 5+ years outside sales experience
- Excellent communication skills
