JOB DESCRIPTION :

We have an exciting Sales & Marketing opportunity available in Houston, TX to join the MailCoups Direct division of Valassis.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prospect and generate leads from various advertising sources.
  • Contact leads via telephone and in-person cold calling for the purpose of setting appointments.
  • Meet prospects to evaluate advertising needs and present the SuperCoups® and RedPlum™ programs. Use sales tools, program/product information and mapping to demonstrate programs' ability to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain and improve sales from existing accounts while expanding volume and frequency.
  • Develop marketing plans for selling new accounts and expanding market penetration.
  • Quote prices and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Service accounts by assisting in receiving ad copy, preparation of advertising layouts and ad proof corrections.
  • Client base accounts receivable management.
  • Monitor and report on competitive activity.

REQUIRED SKILLS :
  • Sound and seasoned knowledge of selling techniques
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Consultative selling skills
  • Strategic account planning
  • 2 - 5 years of direct selling & prospecting experience
  • Computer literate
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
