JOB DESCRIPTION :

At MailCoups Direct, a Valassis Company, we have outstanding advertising sales opportunities available in Phoenix, AZ.

 

Our marketing Consultants enjoy a proven selling process and outstanding training commitment. Consultants are working in their local area and are consulting with local businesses to increase business, add new customers and drive store revenue. This is a competitive sales position with a clear objective of consistently meeting sales quotas.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

We seek Marketing/Advertising consultants who will:

 

  • Prospect and generate leads from various advertising sources.
  • Contact leads via telephone and in-person cold calling for the purpose of setting appointments.
  • Meet prospects to evaluate advertising requirements and present the SuperCoups and RedPlum direct mail programs. Use sales tools, samples and maps to demonstrate programs' ability to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain and improve sales from existing accounts while expanding volume and frequency.
  • Develop marketing plans for selling new accounts and expanding market penetration. Quote prices and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Service accounts by assisting in advertising layout, pick-up/delivery of ad copy and proof correction. Manage accounts receivable. Monitor and report on competitive activity.

REQUIRED SKILLS :

We seek Marketing/Advertising Sales Consultants who have:

  • - A proven track record of successfully selling advertising to local businesses

  • Demonstrated initiative and self-management skills

  • Effective communication and client presentation skills

  • Demonstrated persuasive communications capabilities

  • Prospecting skills – high level cold calling to qualify and close new accounts

  • Recent experience at consistently meeting and exceeding revenue quotas

  • High energy, results driven attitude

  • PC proficiency (MS Office and web based applications)

  • Personal transportation
