SuperCoups commissioned Pulse Research, Inc., an independent research firm founded in 1984, to conduct an online survey of SuperCoups recipients. The reader survey was conducted between August 28, 2004 and November 2, 2004. Over 7,000 recipients responded to the survey providing in-depth insight into consumer buying habits and coupon usage.
This is what we found out:
Shopping Habits of SuperCoups Consumers
- Nearly 1.5 users per envelope
- 76% keep the SuperCoups envelope for at least 30 days
- 88% use SuperCoups coupons when shopping
- 63% use SuperCoups coupons to shop at least once per month.
Consumers Shop Locally
- 74% of shopping dollars are spent in consumer's local area.
SuperCoups Target Market
Of the survey respondents:
- 50% have incomes of $50,000 or more
- 36% are managerial professionals
- 48% have a college degree
- 55% own single family homes
- 59% are married
- 40% are households with children
- 40% are responsible for making purchasing decisions at businesses
- 33% are ages 34 and under
- 66% are ages 35+
